The parents accused of holding their 13 children in shackles at a California home have pleaded not guilty. David Turpin, 56, and Louise Turpin, 49, are facing charges of torture, abuse and false imprisonment. They were arrested after their daughter escaped from their home where police found some of her siblings shackled and severely malnourished. The children, who are aged between two and 29 , have been treated in hospital since being freed on Monday. Mr Hestrin said that the couple had allegedly punished their children by tying them up - first using ropes and later chaining them to their beds with padlocks. He said the alleged punishments would last weeks or months, and intensified over time. Prosecutors said circumstantial evidence showed the children were not released from their chains to go to the toilet. The mum of three flaunted her gym-honed abs and ample cleavage while saying 'hey' in Japanese Kim Kardashian has been wowing fans with her futuristic and cartoonish outfits in Japan all week. But the 37-year-old reality star stripped everything back today as she posed in a white bra and matching miniskirt. Taking to Instagram, she commented in Japanese: "ねえ" which translates simply to "hey". She showed off her gym-honed abs and toned figure in the revealing outfit after doing her best to blend in with the trendy locals in Tokyo. The Japanese capital is famous for its colourful street style - and the reality star has been embracing the expressive and cartoonish style. Shooting at Italy High School in Texas leaves teen wounded, suspect in custody

A teenage girl was wounded at a Texas high school Monday morning after a 16-year-old suspect opened fire with a semi-automatic handgun, authorities said. Police responded to a call of a shooting in the cafeteria at a high school in Italy, Texas, early Monday ,  Ellis County Sheriff Charles Edge said Monday afternoon. The report was called in for Italy High School at approximately 7:53 a.m., authorities said. The suspect was confronted by a school district worker in the cafeteria and then fled bef ore behind apprehended and taken into custody by authorities, Edge said. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, was airlifted to a local hospital, he said. He declined to comment on her condition. Edge said authorities were not aware of a motive at this time and declined to speculate on if the victim was an intended target.
